Bus evangelism

Hi guys,

Just wanna share with you all what I have been doing in terms of evangelism. During these months, I have been spending time with God and learing how to hear Him better.

On the friday night of 28-03-2008, I was on a bus heading home. I was telling God how much I desired that He would use me to reach out to a stranger. Just then, I noticed this lady who was boarding the bus. At the sight of her, I received the word of knowledge from the Lord. I just knew that she was a single mom. Then she sat beside me and I deceided to step out in faith. I was still quite nervous as this was the first time I received a word of knowledge outside a church setting. So instead of just telling her the word of knowledge and frightening her, I just simply strike a conversation. To my worst fear, she was a chinese national and couldn't communicate in english. So I had to use my very very very limited mandrian to tell her what God wanted to say. I asked her strange questions like, are your kids in China? Then is your husband with your kids in China? So she told me that her husband no longer lived with them. With that I told her why I asked such strange questions and told her that Jesus told me she was a single mom and that he wanted her to know that he can take away all the hurts in her heart. She asked is that really true, and I replied yes because he too took away the hurts in my heart. I then told her to go to the church that her teacher was in and ask more about Jesus. With the word of knowledge, she believed and my task was done.

So what has all these got to do with you all?

Well first of all, I encourage you to live more by the spirit of God and spend more time with Him.

Second, ask God to give you a heart for the lost whether in church or in the world.

Third, learn how to listen to Him, and when you sense something step out in faith, you can practice in church because christians tend to be more gracious.

Fourth, even if you don't have a word of knowledge, a word of widsom, or a prophecy, ya can still evangelize. It may be when you sense such a burden for that person that you just wanna share the gospel, be bold in even just asking, "do you know Jesus?" You need not use the four spiritual laws, in fact you can trust the Holy Spirit to help you to speak in evangelisim.

sometimes, you'll have to build the foundation first before being able to bring friends to church and even if the person doesn't come down, we've shared the gospel hence we've planted a seed into their lives. keep praying yeah?

Hi just wanna encourage you guys to carry on asking your friends for the evangelistic event. Most of the time, they will be willing to join you or appreciate your invite. So do not let the lies of, "what if they get offended" or "why would they even come" get a hold on us. All it takes is just a simple invitation and prayer.
